(Sherman Oaks, CA, November 15, 2005) – In concert with an expansive growth strategy that has significantly increased its client base nationwide, Metrocities Mortgage, LLC, a leader in the residential mortgage lending market, has welcomed four distinguished staff members to its team of industry professionals across the country.

Appointees are: Steven E. Wells and Robert B. Pothier, Vice Presidents/Branch Managers, Eastern Division; J. Kent Taylor, Business Development Officer/Branch Manager, Western Division; and Doug Shaffer, Business Development Officer/Branch Manager, Western Region.

In his new position, Wells is responsible for strengthening Metrocities’ business relationships in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and Delaware areas. Wells’ 20 years of mortgage industry experience includes: Regional Sales Manager for County Mortgage, Inc; District Sales Manager for GMAC Mortgage Corporation; and Vice President of Washington Mutual Home Loans, where he managed residential loan centers in Allentown and Wilkes-Barre, Pa., with an annualized closed loan volume of $200 million.

Pothier’s role entails the development and cultivation of Metrocities’ business relationships in the New England, Connecticut and New York areas. Pothier’s 12 years of mortgage industry expertise includes management positions with Washington Mutual where he oversaw two offices with sales of $30 million; PNC Mortgage, where he led sales of $125 million and RBC Mortgage where he orchestrated sales of $120 million. Additionally, he has 14 years of experience in human resources management with companies including Polaroid Corp. and Andover Bank.

In his role, Taylor is responsible for developing and expanding Metrocities’ business relationships in the Western Region with full concentration in the state of Texas. Taylor’s 22 years of mortgage industry experience includes: Owner/Mortgage Broker of his own mortgage company, United Texas Mortgage, Inc.; Regional Vice President/Production Manager – Wholesale Mortgage Lending for GN Mortgage in Dallas, Texas, where he managed all Texas regional production staff and operations and increased profitability sevenfold; Multi-State Sales Manager-Wholesale Mortgage Lending for Norwest/Wells Fargo Mortgage in Dallas, Texas; and as a Sales Manager, Wholesale Mortgage Lending with Citicorp Mortgage in Dallas, where he was a member of the President’s Club.

Finally, Doug Shaffer is responsible for new business development, staff recruitment and supporting existing Affiliated Business Arrangement (ABA) partnerships in the Nevada area. Shaffer’s10 years of mortgage industry positions include: Regional Vice President for KB Home Mortgage, where he oversaw all operations and loan processing for the Western United States; Vice President and General Manager for the Retail Mortgage Division at RateOne Mortgage; Customer Service Manager with Ditech.com, where he managed processing and customer service efforts; and Business Development Officer with E*Trade (previously Loan Direct).
